Hi, my name is Patima Tantiprasut & designing is one of my biggest passions (it's a love/hate relationship sometimes!). I think that designing for yourself is one of the hardest things to do. You've only got yourself to impress, but how do you wow your worst critic? So you have an open brief? Pffft - talk about client from hell...!

the search for inspirado

I'd almost forgot how fun it was to be designing, since the last version of designsbypatima, which seems like a lifetime ago. It was an absolute thrill and honour to have my design featured in the web designers idea book - awsemo! Thanks to Dean (Mingleman) for bringing that news over, a great birthday pressie!

Alas, as my guitar has collected dust, so had my desire to be creative. Boo me!

music to my ears, and also to my pencil...

I really like to get my inspiration from music as it's just such a powerful medium. I'm drawn to bands that produce music with a lot of layers and emotion, such as Karnivool, Muse and The Butterfly Effect (my faves!), and I try to apply the same depth to my design work.

My style? Yes, everyone has a style, and if you had to put mine into words I think it'd be something along the lines of 'distressed, grungey, sketchy, collagey, and as far from clean & normal as possible.... oh! And while definitely being girly too, as I like making things look pretty'. Complicated, I know, but refer to my part about being a girl haha.

passion, love, and life

I like to keep everything simple (except for my designs...), so I am passionate (borderline obsessed?) about a few, select things. These are; dogs (my two girls T-Bone and Mash), Dave (my awesome boyfriend), design, music, and netball - which I play a lot of (Go Vixens!).
